(Sat) Sustainable Day, where we will distribute recycled match day cards and hold workshops [Circular Economy Awareness Project]
Urawa Reds is working with Saitama Prefecture and Saitama Stadium 2002 to promote a "Circular Economy Awareness Project" that involves the collection and sorting of waste generated at the stadium, its recycling, and raising awareness of the environment.
As part of this initiative, we will be exhibiting a "Circular Economy Booth" at the Sustainable Day event for the match against Vissel Kobe on (Sat) October 4th [MATCH PARTNER DHL], where we will be distributing matchday cards made from recycled paper generated at the stadium, as well as holding fun workshops to learn about the environment and calling for the collection of Urawa Reds' plastic bags to be recycled.
Circular Economy Awareness Project Implementation Details
(1) Distributing recycled matchday cards to all attendees
We will collect matchday cards and flyers that have been distributed at previous Urawa Reds home games and reuse some of this recycled paper to create matchday cards that will be distributed to all attendees.
With the cooperation of our official partner, JA Group Saitama, we have been distributing matchday cards since the home game on August 29, 1998, and have continued to distribute them to all spectators who support Urawa Reds at home games.
This will be the first time that matchday cards will be made from recycled paper.
(2) Circular Economy Booth
Time 13:00-17:00
Location: South Square
・Workshop for making keychains using plastic bottle caps
This is an experiential workshop where you can reuse plastic bottle caps collected at Saitama Stadium to create a one-of-a-kind "Shaka Shaka Ring Keychain."
Target: Elementary and junior high school students
Participation fee: Free
*Event will end as soon as materials run out.

・ Urawa Reds Reds plastic bag collection and recycling campaign!
The plastic bags issued by Urawa Reds (distributed at the stadium, shoppers at the official shop, REX CLUB carrier bags, etc.) will be reused as much as possible, and used bags will be collected and recycled at the Circular Economy Booth. This is an initiative aimed at realizing a circular economy.
