The day before the J. League Twenty Second Sec.-Team Manager Finke

Comment from Team Manager Volker Finke on the day before the 2009 season J. League Twenty Second Sec. against Kashiwa Reysol
I think we played really well in our previous match against Gamba Osaka. There was noting we should feel disappointed about our performance. However, we were not able to have a good result and it was a pity that we did not win. Regarding our situation, unfortunately we will be having a difficult situation again for sometime. Even though Tsukasa Umesaki and Tadaaki Hirakawa are back, Keita Suzuki, Keisuke Tsuboi and Naoki Yamada will not be able to play in matches. Though our situation will be difficult, I would like to get the team ready for tomorrow’s match by selecting the best players for it.
As for Tulio, there is still a question mark over his situation. I think he will most likely be playing in the match. However, I would like to check his condition again during tomorrow’s training session. If he will be playing in the match, he will probably play in a back position rather than a mid-fielder position just like he did in the previous match. Since Tsuboi is suspended for the next match, we need another center back player. Players are certainly aware of the fact that we have not scored any goals in official matches for a few weeks. I would like work together with my team to overcome this problem so that we will be able to score some goals. I do not think it will take us long before we start to score some goals again as we have been talking about our problems and working hard every day.
We lost the previous match and it was very tough not only for the players but also for us coaches. If we played badly, it is fair to be blamed for our defeat. However, I think we played better in the previous match against Gamba Osaka. Players also commented that they felt that they played better than their opponent. It was such a pity that we lost the match despite the fact that we played a better game. To be honest, it brought a big shock to us.
But, I am certain that our supporters understood that we did our best without giving up until the last moment of the match. For this reason, I do not think it is necessary for us to lament over the defeat for a long time. We will keep our chins up and believe in ourselves so that we can do our best for the next match.
