My name is Tatsuya Tanaka and I will be taking on the role of head coach of the U-21 team and assistant coach for the top team.
I am extremely proud to be returning to Urawa Reds as a coach, where I began my career as a professional soccer player 24 years ago.
At the same time, I am once again keenly aware of the weight of fighting as a member of Urawa Reds, carrying an emblem that is filled with the club's history and hopes.
The U-21 team will develop players who are thoroughly committed to results, who genuinely enjoy the game, and who can keep fighting no matter what the situation.
