Trial-match comments
Takeshi Ohtsuki
(Head Coach)
- “It was great to see what our players expressed when we scored two points first, but then we conceded two points and ended up conceding our third goal. I came to Hokkaido, where it was cool at the end of summer, and I felt that the conditions were gradually becoming more difficult. I'm glad that they were able to make the move.I think the players brought their skills to bear on a difficult task.''
Opponent team comment
Petrovic
(Head Coach)
- "In today's game, perhaps we were showing too much respect for our opponents in the first 20 minutes, and we played a little passively. That's why we ended up falling behind 0-2. However, we continued to play our own game without losing our rhythm and were able to turn the game around.
Although we ended up losing today's game, I think we were in control throughout Trial. We took 25 shots, while Urawa had 8. As for corner kicks, Sapporo had 15, while Urawa had 1. Just looking at those numbers, I think you can see that we were in control of Trial and were able to keep the game going.
Throughout the 90 minutes, the players ran and fought very well, giving their all until the end, but unfortunately, we were unable to change the recent trend of not winning despite playing very well. It's a very disappointing result, but I want to commend the players for fighting well, and as the manager, I need to take full responsibility for the result.
As we continue to struggle to win, I feel a great sense of responsibility as the manager. In this situation, I will do my best to deal with the situation, but I think it is up to the club to decide what to do with me.
"It is very painful for me as a coach that the team is not winning even though the players are fighting well. I think the players are fighting well, with ideas and strong will. I feel responsible if the players' efforts are not leading to wins."
