Captain Ochiai, who once served as the captain of the Japan national team, conveyed a heartfelt and passionate message to the children, just as the name "Heart-full Talk" suggests.

Message from Captain Ochiai (Summary)
  1. "Let's do our best"
  2. "Enjoy it"
    Image: Captain Ochiai

It's painful if you try hard. No matter how hard you try, sometimes things don't go well. But sometimes it works. If you don't give up, you'll be able to do this kind of feint and this kind of volley shot. So work hard. let's enjoy it

  3. "Be considerate"
    Image: Captain Ochiai

You can't give a good pass if you don't have consideration for the pass. A path is not just a matter of going from A to B. A good pass means that the person who gives it stands in the position of the person who receives it, and what is that person trying to do? What are you thinking? If you think about what you're trying to do, and when the ball you put out with consideration goes smoothly, that's a nice pass.

  4. "let's think!"
    Image: Captain Ochiai

There are times when you hit a shot thinking it will go in, but it gets taken by the goalkeeper or goes off target. At such times, instead of thinking, ``I got caught,'' and ending up in a daze, I think, ``Why was it taken? ’ I think. did you read my mind? Didn't you see the goal? People who can think clearly become more and more proficient

In Heart-full Soccer, the children who were shy at first and didn't fit in were able to enjoy themselves while gradually opening up to the coaches.
In Amputee Soccer, which is supported by FC ONE TOP, a club team based in Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture, he plays hard while holding an unfamiliar clutch (crutches) in both hands. As Captain Ochiai said, "When I see the children's smiles, I have nothing to say. I'm so happy."

The children also said, “It was fun to score points,” “I want to play a (heartful) multiplayer game again,” and “It was my first time playing amputee soccer and it was very difficult.”

Children can watch the game from the stands while eating a specially made Kentucky Fried Chicken bento! According to Kaori Homma, representative of the Saitama City Children's Cafeteria Network, almost all of them were watching a Reds game live for the first time. "I want to watch the game again. I will continue to support Urawa Reds."

We received feedback from all the participants.
  • “It seems that amputee soccer left the biggest impression on the children, and even after they got home, they were doing a lot of research on the Internet, asking, ‘Soccer with canes! I learned about the meaning and history of Amputee, and there were so many new discoveries that I felt like I was a parent and child! He said that he was very surprised, but the child remembered what he heard and what he saw at that time. There are many things that you can learn and deepen your understanding by actually touching each other and playing soccer together like this time.

While appreciating the health that we usually take for granted, I was made to think about how I can encourage children to experience and learn by looking at various things.

I am truly grateful to think that the people of Urawa Reds, Mr. Kentucky, the staff of many children's cafeterias, and various adults were working for the sake of the children.

At the same time, I want my children to grow up to be loved, and I have to teach them the minimum responsibilities of parents, such as following the rules in public places and greeting and thanking them. I felt again that I should not go. Parents have to grow up while reflecting like that! ”

  • "It seems that today was the illumination lighting ceremony at the park just outside Saitama Stadium, so I came back after seeing that too! It was a fun and full day. Thank you!"
  • “For the child, it was the first game against the Reds since he learned soccer!!! His eyes were sparkling as he watched.
We had soccer practice without letting our excitement cool down, but it seems like we were able to do our best more than usual.”

  • “My lessons started on Saturday, and I couldn’t go to the pantry, but I was able to meet not only everyone at the children’s cafeteria, but also my parents, who were nostalgic members.

I've been playing games at home more and more, and it's getting harder to take him outside. I haven't learned soccer, so I've become shy because I'm different from my friends, but it's really fun. It seems that I kept saying, 'I really enjoyed today'.

  • “When I first arrived at the stadium, I was worried about whether it would be difficult for my child. He picked me up and let me kick the ball from the same line of sight as everyone around me... I was just moved by everyone's kindness."

  • "I wonder if I can become a soccer player by working hard!" My son said, and he said he wanted to do his best. ”

"Heartful Care," which had been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, was successfully held in fine weather, and we were able to touch the smiles of many children. And Urawa Reds won the match!
We would like to continue bringing smiles and happiness to everyone in the community through the activities of "Kono Yubi TomaREDS!".
