Comments from head coach Maciej Skorza ahead of the match against Cerezo OSAKA
(In Saturday's match against Nagoya Grampus, you were under pressure for a long time. Do you think you held up well in the first half?)
"We allowed Nagoya to do what they wanted, which made it difficult for us to control the Trial. I think we made a lot of mistakes. We made some mistakes in the build-up, and the opponents were playing man-to-man in zones 2 and 3, so I think our players needed to work together. We let the opponents run free even in the penalty area."
(At halftime, three substitutions were made, and the substitutes provided an assist and a goal. What was the purpose of these substitutions?)
"I made substitutions to inject tactical discipline and energy, and chose players who understand each other well. I think we started the second half well and were able to score goals."
(Despite taking the lead, we ended up losing the game)
"The performance in the last 10 minutes was not great."
(What was the aim of changing the starting lineup?)
"Because we are playing consecutive games, we made rotations while taking into consideration the fatigue of the players."
(I think it's noteworthy that substitute players have been scoring more goals in Trial since the five-game home streak ended.)
"It's a very positive thing when a player comes on as a substitute and scores a goal. I want to continue doing this because I'm able to change the flow of the game and decide Trial."
(I think it's also a positive thing that there are more new scorers in recent Trial.)
"Going up points also boosts the players' confidence, so I think this is a positive trend."
(On the other hand, they have continued to concede multiple goals Trial.)
"We've put our opponents in that situation in the last two Trial, so we need to improve."
(What is your impression of Cerezo Osaka?)
"The away Trial against Cerezo was a difficult Trial. We didn't start Trial the way we wanted, conceding a goal early on, which allowed them to play attacking football. I think they are a well-organised team."
(How do you view the remaining two league Trial before the FIFA Club World Cup?)
"While we are participating in the FIFA Club World Cup, other teams will have Trial and Pos will certainly drop, so we must continue to accumulate points. As we fight game by game, we are able to play our two remaining Trial before the break, against Cerezo Osaka and Yokohama FC, at home. At home, the fans and supporters give us very strong support and give us the energy to break through our limits. We absolutely must win, so we will do our best to do so."
