"Urawa Reds Reds Heartful Meeting 2023" will be held

On the 10th, `` Urawa Reds Heartful Meeting 2023'' was held at Saitama Stadium.

Heart-full Club, which operates under the theme of nurturing the "heart" through soccer, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023, and this time we held a meeting to report on our 20th year of activities and discuss our 21st year's activity policy. The event was attended by 28 companies and organizations, including partners and local governments, who support Heart-full Club 's activities.

First, Representative Makoto Taguchi expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him on a daily basis. In the meeting, Representative Taguchi explained that the purpose of Heart-full Club is not to make profit, but rather to foster rich hearts in the community and Japanese society, and to encourage people with rich hearts to participate in the community, club, and Japanese society. He explained that it is an ``investment'' for ``activities.''

After representative Taguchi's greetings, captain Hiroshi Ochiai, heartfelt coaches Shino Kamino, Ichie Muroi, Takuya Ishiguro, Yoshiaki Oiso, Yudai Nishikawa, Gohei Morita, Manabu Ikeda, Tomoyuki Sakai, Masato Ajisaka, Taketora Shimada Greetings from 11 people. Afterwards, Hidekazu Shirato, General Manager of the Hometown Headquarters, reported on the activities for 2022 and explained the activity policy for 2023.

Heart-full Club 's activities dropped to 28,000 participants in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but in 2022 it recovered to 528 events with a total of 41,752 children (including some adults). In particular, it was introduced that visits to elementary schools and kindergartens exceed 200 times a year, and requests from educational institutions continue to be high.

Efforts to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus have also been reported, and up until last year, for example, elementary schools had no choice but to move Captain Ochiai's class from the classroom to the gymnasium, and to limit loud voices, which is important to keep the game exciting. However, Director Shirato said, ``This is the last time I will be making a report like this, and I think I will be able to report on the excitement as usual from next year.''

In addition, since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, we have continued to provide ``mental care'' for children in Otsuchi Town, Yamada Town, and J Village as `` Heart-full Soccer in Tohoku,'' and we have worked in approximately 35 countries so far. It was also reported that `` Heart-full Soccer in ASIA'' held a ``Grassroots International Exchange'' with Muangthong United, with whom the club has a partnership, last summer. It was also announced that the club would consider collaborating with the ``Saitama Sports Schule'' initiative promoted by Saitama City, making use of the 20 years of experience accumulated at Heart-full Club.

Furthermore, the keywords of Heart-full Club are (1) a heart that trusts and cares for its friends, (2) a heart that enjoys each other, and (3) a heart that works hard in everything it does. It was also explained that the activities will be based on the theme of ``Let's think about it.''

At the end of the first part, Captain Ochiai gave a greeting. Captain Ochiai began by saying, ``Thank you for the 20th anniversary.First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone.'' He went on to say that Heart-full Club was established in recognition of the passionate support of fans, supporters, and local residents 20 years ago, even though the top team was having a hard time achieving results. He explained that he had this idea.

Even in a world where online communication is highly developed, there is a realization that ``in order to nurture the mind, we must touch the heart,'' and that coaches must work hard to achieve that, and it is precisely in this world that sports are important. He passionately talked about how much we need to work hard.

After the approximately 50-minute meeting, the second part was a soccer school experience at Saitama Stadium's third ground. Under the guidance of Coach Koiso, also known as ``Iso Coach,'' and with the participation of former Urawa Reds Hiroshi Noda, the adult participants were asked to relive the feeling of being in the 6th grade of elementary school and played energetically on the green pitch. Home Town Director Shirato said, ``This idea was invented because high-fives were not possible due to the coronavirus pandemic, but I'm looking forward to seeing if it continues in the future.'' People who weren't playing showed their joy with the heart symbol, and even those who weren't playing shouted loudly. The experience session had a lively atmosphere, with people cheering for each other.

Afterwards, the participants took time to chat and socialize, and watched the Meiji Yasuda Life J1 League Round 10 match against Sagan Tosu which was held at Saitama Stadium on the same day, and the `` Urawa Reds Reds Heartful Meeting 2023'' came to an end.
