"I think the distance was a little too far. After Isaac (Kise Thelin) got in, it was important to think about the distance a little more and not just aim for one or two shots."

(I think goals are conceded from mistakes in soccer, but what do you think about getting into that situation?)
"I don't think that kind of play is bad. Rather than thinking 'mistakes are inevitable,' I think the issue for this team is how to bounce back from them. I hope that the whole team will review this and work on it."

(What did you want to convey when you spoke to the fans and supporters after Trial?)
"I was able to properly communicate what I wanted to say, and I think we received what the fans and supporters wanted to say. I don't think there's any need to explain what they wanted to say here. They got their message across properly, and I hope I was able to convey at least a little of what I'm thinking right now."

(What message would you like to send to people who were unable to hear the voice, such as those who were watching the live broadcast?)
"Of course, it's a team sport, so there are times when the results don't come easily. But I think the bare minimum is for the team to show their desire to achieve results in Trial. I think we still haven't done enough in that regard, and I hope we can show that as a team in the two remaining Trial."

(It will be difficult to have long gaps between Trial when the title is not at stake, but how will you feel during the three weeks before the two remaining Trial?)
"Of course, we are fighting for ourselves and for our fans and supporters, but today I was reminded once again that we are fighting as a team called Urawa Reds. I want each and every one of us to express that feeling with that in mind. We will set aside thoughts of what will lead to next season and focus on finishing this season with a win."
