Koizumi: "It's important that the whole team can come together and have the same intention."
On September 2, after the match against Albirex Niigata in Round 26 of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League, Yoshio Koizumi talked about her impressions of the match, her own situation, and her future enthusiasm.
(How do you feel looking back on the game?)
“Frankly, it was the same for the entire team, as well as the fans and supporters who were watching, but it was a very frustrating result.
(During the time Koizumi was playing, I think he was able to defend the ball compactly and set up a short counter even when the opponent had the ball?)
“In hindsight, I think the pressure was dropping during the time period when we conceded the goal, but even when the pressure dropped, the team as a whole shifted to keeping it compact and not conceding a goal. It's a mistake to make a wrong choice, but there is no doubt that it is easy for accidents to occur due to deflection if you pull it in and firmly fix it. I think it will be the same choice again, so it can't be helped if I say it can't be helped.There were times when we couldn't score even though we had chances to score the second goal on the counter, so we overwhelmed ourselves and attacked. “In defense, we have good team tactics and individual tactics, and as a team, we are well-versed in this aspect. Personally, we still have a long way to go in offense.
