Al Hilal pre-match official press conference

On the 5th, an official press conference was held at Saitama Stadium on the day before the second match of the AFC Champions League (ACL) 2022 Knockout Stage Final. Head coach Ramon Diaz and Ali Albreich from Al Hilal attended and spoke about their enthusiasm for the second match.

(The moderator asks both sides. No team has ever won an ACL final that has been tied in their own country. Al-Hilal did so in 2014 and 2017. But Al-Hilal is a four-time champion of Asia. Do you think they can do something different this time?)
[Director Ramon Diaz]
"These past stats are meaningless. We have a different scenario and we understand that we are playing against a big club this time. We know that there will be a lot of fans and supporters coming, but we are used to it. Also, the opponents are two-time champions and are looking for their third. We will try to avoid it and we are well prepared because we have experience. We have been through a lot of these situations and we are a strong team.I am looking forward to tomorrow's match."

[Ari Albreich]
“We are ready to recover from the Riyadh result.

[Question-and-answer session]
(I have a question for Diaz. I heard rumors about Lionel Messi. What do you think he will do at Al-Hilal if he joins?)
"I'm focused on the final right now, so we'll see what happens after the final."

(I have a question for Albreich. How will the team deal with the lack of a key player, Salem Aldosari, tomorrow?)
"I didn't expect to lose two key players, but even with that, it's a perfect team, and we're perfectly capable of playing as a team, no matter who comes out."

(I have a question for Coach Diaz. What do you think of Urawa Reds Koroki Kohrogi, who said, ``We were able to score due to an opponent's mistake, but tomorrow we will score in front of 60,000 fans and supporters.'')
“Last time, rather than making a mistake, there was a moment when I lacked concentration, which led to the loss of the goal.

(I have a question for Coach Diaz. Al-Hilal is a great team, they have many excellent players and they are of high quality. However, 60,000 Urawa Reds fans and supporters will come to the stadium tomorrow. Urawa Reds are famous for their disciplined defence, so I think it will be a big problem and the game will be complicated. How will you deal with it?)
“Al-Hilal are certainly the best team in Asia. They have won the ACL twice in the last few years, and this time they are aiming to become champions for the second time in a row. Urawa Reds are a well-disciplined team, but their attack is not that good. If I do that, I think the game will be open, so if I can do that, I think there are all sorts of possibilities.

(I have a question for Albreich. Urawa Reds have the power to turn even small mistakes made by opposing defenders into their advantage. As a defender, you have to pay attention to details. How will you respond?)
"I've been working with the coach over the past week to be prepared to pay attention to those details so I don't make the same mistake again."

(I have a question for Director Diaz. You have experience playing in the J.League. Is there any difference between then and now Japanese football?)
“Certainly there is a big difference between when I was playing in the J.League and now. Japanese football has gained a lot of international experience, and this is shown in the (FIFA) World Cup.

(I have a question for Albreich. You have always won the ACL finals you have played in, and I think the same thing will happen tomorrow. What is your message to the fans?)
"I'm well prepared, so I'll win and take the cup home."
