Manager Maciej Skorza press conference after the match against Yokohama F. Marinos

Meiji Yasuda J1 League Section 2 Yokohama F・Marinos match comment after the game

“I feel a lot of anger and disappointment. At the start of the first half, I felt that there was too much respect for Yokohama F・Marinos the press in the middle zone. After conceding a goal, we started to approach the opponents more, and I think our performances improved.

During halftime, when I gave instructions to the players, including advice on how to attack, they performed well, just as they did towards the end of the first half. I think the first 20 minutes of the second half were particularly good.

But in soccer, in the end, it's the decisiveness that matters. In addition, I think I have to bring it to the finish. I made some decisions. I think the most obvious thing was the scene of David Moberg Karlsson, but if I could have scored in such a place, I think I could have played a different match.

At the end of the match, (Koizumi) Kaho, Okubo's inside half, and (Iwao) Ken (Iwao) as one of the anchors tried to deliver the ball to (Koroki) Shinzo. However, I made a mistake in the build-up and ended today's match there.

After playing two games, we have zero points, which I think is a pretty bad situation. However, compared to the season opener, I feel that the team has made some progress, so I am positive about the situation. If we start scoring goals in the future, I think the flow of this team will change and our image will change. And I believe we can make it happen."

[Question-and-answer session]
(You played two games with the same starting line-up, but do you have any ideas about changing the team, including substitutions?)
“After losing 0-2, some people may have felt it was a bit strange to start with the same starting line-up. I didn't want to get kicked out for making one mistake at the start of the season.Tomorrow we have a practice match and players who aren't in the starting lineup will play there. While looking at those players, I would like to think about the squad for Cerezo Osaka match.”

(Today, we switched forwards in the first half and second half. At the press conference Shinzo Koroki days ago, we touched on the difference between the two types. I think the team thinks he's more balanced?)
“They are two completely different types of strikers. I think Shinzo’s presence in the second half has increased the number of situations where he can keep the ball up front and create damage. I think that’s Shinzo’s ability. In Shinzo's case, I don't know how many minutes he can play, and I also think about the flow and intensity of the match, and whether it's better to use him from the start or in the second half.

When I thought about putting a high pressure on a great team like F. Marinos, it would lead to exhaustion, so the idea was to use Shinzo when there was more space."

(Looking at the camp, it seems that this team is strong on the right side, but there are places where Hiroki Sakai is pushing himself a little and David Moberg Karlsson 's condition is not improving. I think, how do you see the units on the right side and the attack part?)
“Both David (David Moberg Karlsson) and (Sakai) Hiroki are players coming back from injuries. It's not the time, and I think we need a guy like David, that type of ability, on this team, and we decided it would be a good idea to let him play to get him back to his normal form. I'm sure the right side will get stronger and stronger as time goes on."
