Director Ricardo Rodriguez 's final round ceremony greetings

After the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 34 match against Avispa Fukuoka [MATCH PARTNER Mitsubishi Motors], the final home game ceremony of the 2022 season was held, and Coach Ricardo Rodriguez sent a message to fans and supporters.

[Director Ricardo Rodriguez]
“Hello everyone. First of all, I would like to thank the Reds fans and supporters for the two years that we have spent together. I started to change the style that was requested, and besides that, the club was asked to win the title, and I think I was able to do that.Another request is the ACL (AFC Champions League). Not only did I participate, but I was able to advance to the finals.

The club has decided to proceed with this process with a different manager next season. As a professional, I respect that decision. I came to Asia nine years ago in a small club in Thailand. After that, I was able to reach the final of the ACL after a series of hardships that only my family knew, so I feel that I wanted to fight in that match. I expect and hope Urawa wins. And I wish the next director good luck.

I would like to thank the players for their efforts over the past two years. I would also like to thank the club staff, including the front desk, for loving me from day one. We couldn't win the league. But I think it's also something you win as a result of the process. It is not easy to win the championship in the J. I think it's something that wins while making a lot of right decisions.

This season was the start of the season with various problems including bad luck in reinforcement. And although I wanted to continue this process with them, the club made the decision. It's a decision I accept and respect. I wish Urawa Reds every success in the future. The two years in Urawa were happy.

Of course I think I've made mistakes in that. And I think it's important to reflect first. Winning the Emperor's Cup will be a memory for the rest of my life. We had a great day at the National Stadium. I will never forget the (FUJIFILM) SUPER CUP with (Kawasaki) Frontale. And I will never forget the time we all celebrated the ACL finals at Saitama Stadium. I will never forget how we celebrated by singing “We are Diamonds” together as we challenged ourselves to the pinnacle of Asia. I am proud to have been able to work as the manager of Urawa Reds. thank you very much"
