Trial-match comments
Oswaldo Oliveira
(Head Coach)
- "If anyone needed a recovery today, it was me (laughs). It was a very difficult Trial for us, but thanks to the bravery, discipline and hard work of the players we were able to get the result. I think we scored at the right time, in the way that we thought we could. After that we were left with a very difficult task, which was to defend against a quality team that kept trying to score. I think it was very valuable that we were able to do that, so I think the three points were worthwhile."
Opponent team comment
Takayuki Yoshida
(Head Coach)
- "Overall, I think we were able to keep possession of the ball and play good football. However, we lost the Trial, so we will accept that and of course we need to make adjustments to get there, so we need to keep doing that.
Regarding the first half, we had the ball, but we could have drawn it in a little more, and carried it a little better, as was the case with Samper, but we made some adjustments at halftime to have the center backs carry it a little more, and to have a little more width and create numerical superiority on the sides. I think we created more chances in the second half than in the first half, but we should have taken advantage of those opportunities. Overall, I don't think we played bad football, so we'd like to continue doing what we need to do."
