Mihailo Petrovic (Head Coach): (Even though you couldn't score in the first half, you scored four goals in the second half alone.)
"We had some chances in the first half while taking the lead, but we couldn't convert them into goals. We particularly had a lot of wing attacks, but we lacked precision in our final passes and shots in the first half.

Despite taking the lead, Trial was still 0-0, which was not a comfortable situation for us. Our opponents were a strong team, and we didn't know how the second Trial would go, but we managed to score the opening goal. By scoring the opening goal, our opponents had to play more aggressively. This created space for us to attack, and we were able to score additional goals.

If you look at the score alone, you might think that we won the game with ease, but that wasn't the case at all. It was a tense game. However, if you look at the whole Trial in the end, I think our team played a game worthy of victory."

"I always watch the leagues of the major countries around the world, but I don't think you often see such an amazing derby. It was a great derby, comparable to the Rome Derby and Milan Derby in Italy. If I didn't know that Trial was an Australian league derby, I would have thought it was an English Premier League Trial, because Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers played such a great game.

I think that Coach Popovich is a great coach. I think there must have been some reason why he replaced six starters in today's Trial. I think there must have been some reason, such as injuries or fatigue from the derby. However, I don't know what goes on inside the team, so I think it would be better to ask Coach Popovich about that question.

I think Western Sydney Wanderers and Coach Popovic are great coaches and clubs that I have a lot of sympathy for. I think they were unlucky today, but I sincerely hope that Western Sydney Wanderers will have a good game and a good result in the next Trial.

Opponent team comment

Tony Popovich (Head Coach): "We just need to switch gears and prepare for the next Trial. Today, we played in a fluster against Urawa.

We were Trial well in the first half, but in the second half we lost the ball more often due to mistakes, and two of our four goals came from those mistakes. We didn't get a good result today, but I think we learned a lot from it. We need to switch gears quickly.

Some of the players were not used to fighting in the ACL, but I think it was a good experience for them. I think the players learned a lot from this Trial, such as how to lose the ball, how to switch between offense and defense, and how to steal the ball for the opponent's first point. I would like to improve on this for the next A-League match against Perth.

We were able to respond well to Urawa in some areas, but allowing two goals in quick succession within two minutes caused the team to panic.

Without that, I think we could have approached the ball with a bit more confidence and made some moves on the flanks. After the second goal, Urawa was able to keep possession of the ball even better, and it became a very difficult time for us from then on.

We made some substitutions, but each player was able to play with their role. As for today's Trial, it wasn't a question of who played, but rather that we lost because we panicked due to our own mistakes."
