Trial-match comments

Maciej Skorza

(Head Coach)

"It was a good Trial. I think we can say that in some aspects we played very well. The team as a whole and each individual player did a great job today. I was pleasantly surprised by the discipline, team spirit and mentality.

Up until now, we haven't had many Trial where we've been able to win the ball and recover the second ball. That was the reason we created so many chances in today's Trial. Compared to past Trial, I think our play in Zone 3 in particular was good. The speed of play was fast, the tempo was good, and we made a lot of moves to get behind the defense.

I think our high pressure was also working well. When we scored the first goal, we applied high pressure and stole the ball in the midfield, and Samuel (Gustafsson) made some great moves.

We maintained our intensity in the second half, and anticipated the openings between the lines and talked about using them. I think we were able to control the game for the entire 90 minutes, so it was a satisfying Trial. There were also positive elements, such as Hiroki Abe 's assist. Isaac (Keise Thelin) scored a great goal, and Thiago (Santana) scored a farewell goal. Marius (Højbraten) and Thiago, who played their final game for the Reds today, played very well.

And right from the start, our fans and supporters created a great atmosphere. We wanted to end the game in a way that would erase the image we had, so we'd like to thank the players, fans and supporters, and everyone involved with the Reds for making that happen."

Opponent team comment

Shigetoshi Hasebe

(Head Coach)

"We were under pressure from the start of the first half, and there were many times when we managed to hold on, but in terms of holding on, there were times when it wouldn't have been surprising if they had scored, but we showed tenacity. However, I think it was a real shame that we conceded a goal at the end of the first half. In a game like this, conceding one goal can decide the game for the opponent, and that's how it went.

It felt like the team that was struggling would improve in the second half, but that didn't work out at all. That one point weighed on us, and we thought, "Let's go for it in the second half," so we made substitutions and tried to go with players who were better prepared, but that didn't work out too well either. Overall, there were 1 out of 10 good things, and 8 or 9 out of 10 bad things. That's the kind of game I think it was. There were a lot of things that weren't going well.

However, I told the players, "Accept it and move forward again. There are games like this sometimes in each of our careers, and today was one of them." I think the players who accepted it will continue to grow from here, and I hope that there will be players who think, "What are you talking about?" and become better with a rebellious spirit. Personally, I want to make today's Trial meaningful, a point to remember. That's how bad the game was."
