Trial-match comments
Mihailo Petrovic
(Head Coach)
- "Regarding today's game, I think it was a very poor game. Gamba was clearly the better team than us.
I think this is the first time this season that we were unable to do what we were trying to do, or that it was the first time this season that we played a very poor game. It's difficult to find the reason why we ended up like this right after Trial, but I will take full responsibility for this loss. I was not able to prepare the team well going into this Trial, and that's why we lost today. I take responsibility for today's loss.
As I said to the players in the locker room earlier, when we win, everyone celebrates and praises us. However, it is how we are when we lose that tests our quality. Up until now, we have always come back stronger after games that didn't go well or games that we lost.
I want to use today's Trial as motivation to improve ourselves and come back to the next Trial. I believe that we are a team with that kind of quality."
Opponent team comment
Masanobu Matsunami
(Head Coach)
- "There was such a good atmosphere, and the Reds were such a great team to face, so the whole team worked well together in both defence and offence, and each and every one of us gave it our all in Trial.
The first goal was very important, and since we are both offensive teams, we decided to play more offensively than the Reds today, and that was Trial good way to score the first goal. Abe also had a very good shot and got behind the opponent, so I think we played a style of football where we aimed for the goal until the end.
