Trial-match comments

Mihailo Petrovic

(Head Coach)

First of all, hello everyone. And hello to Tony who came all the way from Austria to watch this Trial. I'm sure that after watching today's Trial, he will be a great ambassador in Austria and Europe (laughs). In the end, we won, but I think it was a very tough game for our team. As for Kobe, they had lost three games in a row before this Trial, so I think they were very motivated to play Trial.
And for Kobe, if you look at this stadium and their record against Urawa, they are a team they are good at playing against. In that sense, it was a very tough game for us. They were patient from the start and had a very good defensive organization. We had some chances, but we couldn't score, and in the last 15 minutes of the first half, the players were scared and we couldn't keep the ball going. I think the second half was great. We created a lot of good chances from the middle and the sides.
In the end, I think we played well enough in the second half to deserve a 2-0 victory. I would like to commend the players for their fantastic performance, and thank you to the supporters for creating such a great atmosphere.
However, we need to keep our feet on the ground and continue to work hard, steadily. There are still things we need to do. There are still many areas we need to improve on. However, I think it is great that we have been able to accumulate points up until this sixth round. It is often said that it is important to continue to move forward, one centimeter at a time. I think that these six rounds have shown us the direction we should go in."

Opponent team comment

Masahiro Wada

(Head Coach)

"Despite the many supporters who came out to the game in the rain, we once again had Trial where we failed to get a result. I am truly sorry. We have another loss, so we need to look forward and keep doing our best.
In the first half, our overall organised defence didn't allow Urawa to create any good chances, and I think we worked hard to set up good blocks and created well-coordinated chances.
I thought Trial would definitely change in the second half. However, I think it was very painful that we conceded two goals from set pieces that we wanted to score. I thought that taking advantage of our height and scoring from set pieces would be a big key in this kind of weather, so it's very disappointing that we conceded goals in that situation. I think that this conceded goal is something we can fix for the next game, so we will fix it properly, and the Nabisco Cup starts on Wednesday, but since we've been losing so much, I hope we can somehow get a win and use it as a good opportunity. We'll keep looking forward and keep challenging ourselves, and prepare well for the Nabisco Cup.
