Trial-match comments
Volker Finke
(Head Coach)
- "I think in the end we can call it a deserved win, but what you could see over the long stretches was that our players still had the disappointing result of our last game in their minds.
And especially in the second half, we created a lot of chances to score, but unfortunately we couldn't convert them into goals. So, watching from the outside, I felt that if we continued to miss our chances, we might lose the Trial or concede a goal.
In the end, we were able to score the goal to make it 2-1, and for the players, this was a wonderful goal that gave them a sense of release in a way. After that, we were able to score the third goal, but what can be said about all three goals was that we created chances and scored goals in a very beautiful way. And Takahashi Shunki was able to score a goal, which must have been a great joy, especially for the young players.
Finally, I think Chiba played with a lot of energy in the first 60 minutes. We were in a very dangerous situation, and they were very good in terms of the amount of energy they had, but I thought there would be a time when they would not be able to keep up that energy. In fact, especially towards the end of Trial, their energy level dropped, which allowed us to make a lot of passes around the opponent's penalty area and actually created a lot of scoring opportunities.
Ultimately, I think today's win is well deserved."
Opponent team comment
Atsuhiko Ejiri
(Head Coach)
- “We analyzed the situations where we scored points all the time, and I think we were able to score points in accordance with our scouting.
The fact that I was able to get hired so quickly after that was a big issue, but when I had a few more chances after that, it was all about the quality. I wonder if it's the quality of the passes, through passes, crosses, etc. I wonder if there's a slight difference between them and Urawa.
So, we still have issues, including the fact that we were able to score points from the restart in the final game, and in the final 15 minutes, we made substitutions, and Ota (Keisuke) and Net (Baiano). I got it in, but there was one more thing: I couldn't push the opponent. It's a game that still has some tough challenges left."
