Trial-match comments

Volker Finke

(Head Coach)

"I think the performance of all the players who took to the pitch today was good. I don't think the play today was bad, and I don't want to criticize the whole team here at all. In fact, I think the 'performance' was good from start to finish.
However, what is true is that in this game of soccer, you can't win unless you score a goal. Unfortunately, we weren't able to convert our scoring chances into goals today. And at the very end, we conceded a goal because of one small mistake. The player who made that mistake had been playing extremely well for the entire 90 minutes up until that point. However, conceding a goal in this way and losing the game is the harshness of this game of soccer, and it was very painful for the players and for us as coaches. However, that doesn't mean we can forget the performance of the entire team throughout the game today.

Opponent team comment

Akira Nishino

(Head Coach)

"We had expected this kind of game to some extent, and we were thinking about attacking and defending in the midfield, and then taking the initiative there, and then launching attacks that were better than the Reds in the offensive zone.
It seemed like the whole team retreated a bit and the zone dropped down, but even so, I think we were able to fight effectively by pressing and counter-attacking.
Especially on the defensive side, I think we were able to continue to play tough offense and defence in the central midfield, including both defensive midfielders.
I felt that the Reds had a lot of possession, but they didn't let the opponent use the passes effectively, and they didn't take advantage of that possession when it came to finishing. I think they were able to concentrate well on defense and then go on the offensive.
There are three possible outcomes: win, draw, or lose, but I think any of these could have happened today. It would have been a draw, and it wouldn't have been strange if they had lost, considering the changes brought about by Tulio's inclusion in the Reds. On top of that, bringing in Harada was also a way of making changes for Gamba, and he was selected in a situation where he wanted to make the best choice, and with around two chances (in a short amount of time), he ran well behind the defensive line and created chances. I think it was the result of tough, hard work."
