Sustainable Day to be held on (Sat) October 4th against Kobe

At the match against Vissel Kobe on (Sat) October 4th (MATCH PARTNER DHL), we will be holding a "Sustainable Day" and implementing various initiatives related to the SDGs.

Urawa Reds has set "sustainable stadiums and cities" as one of its SDGs priorities, and is focusing on environmental initiatives and community activities to achieve its club philosophy of "conveying the excitement and joy of sports, including soccer, fostering a culture in which sports are a part of everyday life, and creating a prosperous region and society for future generations."

On this day, the stadium and the entire city will work together to create a sustainable society, with themes of preserving the natural environment, building local connections, and teaching future generations.
"Sustainable Day" is a day to realize the connection between the earth, society, and the environment, and to work together to build a better future for the next generation.
Together with all our fans and supporters, let's aim for a sustainable society where everyone can live a rich life, using the stadium and the city as our stage.

*Due to forecasted rain, the Saitama City Fire Department Band Special Concert has been cancelled.

Carbon offsetting in cooperation with the local community
Carbon offsetting in cooperation with the local community

Urawa Reds, Saitama Prefecture, and the Saitama Prefecture Smart City Development Association are collaborating to compile the environmental value (CO2 reduction) of solar power generation installed in apartment buildings and other buildings in Saitama Prefecture in the form of green power certificates, etc., which will be provided to Urawa Reds to implement carbon offsetting, which will effectively reduce CO2 emissions to zero.
This initiative will utilize the environmental value generated from the "everyday lives" of people living in homes and other properties equipped with solar power generation equipment to carbon offset the carbon emissions from Urawa Reds' home games, as a demonstration experiment of locally produced and consumed energy.

<About small home appliance and battery collection>
In order to reduce non-combustible waste and extend the life of final disposal sites, Saitama City has been installing collection boxes for small home appliances since January 2014. By handing over the collected small home appliances to nationally certified businesses (recycling businesses), the city is contributing to the proper disposal of waste and the domestic circulation of useful metals.

*Please check the website below beforehand for information on whether collection is possible and important points to note.
