Trial-match comments

Mihailo Petrovic

(Head Coach)

"Trial unfolded as expected. We probably could have scored a goal earlier, but Trial and development went just as we expected.
I think we played our most professional Trial of the 14 rounds today. If we had played like this in the Oita and Shimizu games this season, we might have gained another five points. However, I think today was a good day for us to learn from those losses and draws and grow.
First of all, what we as a team valued was not to concede the first goal. There was a scene where the opponent shot from a distance, but I think we didn't allow them to create a clear chance. I think that in that cautious battle, we were able to score somewhere. Although it was a little late, I think we had more chances to score after we scored.
In the midst of a game where we couldn't score, we dropped (Kashiwagi) Yosuke to defensive midfielder and took more risks. That worked, and we were able to move the ball around and launch attacks. However, we will continue to carefully decide whether we should take risks or not depending on how the game progresses.
Of course, I think we can do better. But today was the first time this season that the temperature was this hot. Considering that, I think we can say that we played a good game today.

Opponent team comment

Hiroki Shibuya

Coach

"We would like to thank all the fans and supporters who came all the way from Kofu to play our home game at the National Stadium. I wanted them to return to Kofu with a win, but I am very disappointed that we were unable to achieve that.
I also regret that we were unable to deliver this victory to the many staff members, volunteer staff and children who helped prepare the event at the National Stadium.
As for Trial, we were really disappointed with the Omiya match on May 25th, so we went into the off-season. We had lost three games in a row at that time, so in order to make up for that, we trained hard every day, and this week, even the players who didn't play cooperated with us because we were preparing for the Reds. There were many parts of the plan that we had envisioned, so it's disappointing that it didn't translate into results.
Especially in the first half, I thought we defended well and had few chances to score goals on the counter, but I don't think we were too far out of position.
However, from the middle of the first half, we were able to keep possession of the ball and make side changes, and I think we were able to make some very good attacks. However, we conceded a goal in the 83rd minute and ended up losing, which was really frustrating and I'm very disappointed that all the hard work we've put in didn't pay off. I think it's Coach Jofuku who is the most frustrating, and the players fought with that feeling, so I'm very disappointed that it didn't pay off."
