■ Overview of the case
On (Sat) October 18, 2025, during the 34th round of the 2025 Meiji Yasuda J1 League against Yokohama F・Marinos, Takuro Kaneko was sent off in the 90+1 minute for pushing a referee with his hand.
Whatever the reason, any conduct that shows a lack of respect for the referees, who are part of the sport, is completely unacceptable. We understand that as players fighting to win, it is natural for them to have a determination to win every match and that emotions can run high. However, we believe that under any circumstances, that passion should be displayed in a way that respects the rules, and that the sport should be based on a spirit of fair play.
We would like to offer our sincere apologies to the many people involved in this incident, including the referees, fans and supporters, our opponent Yokohama F・Marinos, and the entire football family.
As a club, we will do our utmost to thoroughly educate our players and prevent recurrence so that such incidents never occur again.
