Okubo and Matsuyama visit Fluor, a job support facility
On the 4th, Tomoaki Okubo and Matsuyama Kenta visited "Fluor," an employment support facility in Saitama City. "Fluor" means "enjoy" in Latin, and the facility aims to build a support system for people who have difficulty finding regular employment, with the philosophy that "everyone should shine like the sun," in order to solve the social issue of diversifying employment issues.
This activity was carried out in collaboration with Saitama City's Disability Welfare Division as part of the club's social contribution activity, "Kono Yubi TomaREDS!", which is now in its fifth year, and supports people with disabilities.

Upon arriving at the facility, the two players were greeted with warm applause from the crew as they headed to the work area. They each introduced themselves, and then each crew member introduced themselves in turn. Afterwards, a Q&A session was held for the players, during which the crew members asked them a series of interesting questions, such as "What anime did you watch when you were younger?", "What music do you often listen to?" and "Who's your favorite artist now?" The players carefully considered their words and answered politely. The venue became lively as the players found common ground with the crew members, and they spent a time interacting with each other, filled with smiles.

Afterwards, the two players experienced the production work that the crew usually does. They went through the process of making and finishing parts such as tile coasters and tile trivets, and while they worked seriously, they occasionally had lively conversations with the crew, and the work was carried out in a friendly atmosphere from start to finish.

After the work was completed, a gift exchange took place to commemorate the visit. Both players presented autographed uniforms and colored paper, while the crew members presented basket bags, which are available for sale at the facility, colored paper with the players' portraits, and message cards. Finally, the visit came to a close with a commemorative photo taken with everyone.
The merchandise produced by the two players will be on sale at the Home Town booth at the 2025 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 28 match Albirex Niigata [MATCH PARTNER Kokudai Seminar] on Sunday, August 31st, along with an introduction to the facility and an exhibition.

"This facility only opened last year, and I honestly never expected an opportunity like this to come along, so I was very surprised. Having Urawa Reds players come and liven things up will be an encouragement to those who are aiming for regular employment, and I'm truly grateful."

"First of all, I am happy to be able to take part in this kind of event. I think Urawa Reds is a club that feels the support, enthusiasm and passion of the local community more than any other team, and I felt that once again through today's activities. Not only listening to the thoughts of these people, but actually going to the site and working together with them gives us energy and makes us want to work even harder. In that sense, I thought this kind of activity was very good.
In order to live up to the expectations of our supporters, including through activities like this, we need to show more on the pitch, and we will continue to fight with all our might so that when we win Trial, everyone will feel motivated to try their best again."

"Today was the first time I had direct contact with the local community since transferring to Urawa Reds. I have participated in various activities with each team up until now, but I was able to feel firsthand just how much the local community loves Urawa Reds, and it really motivated me and made me realize that I need to work even harder.
As a player, I believe the only way I can give back to the local community and all the supporters is with a victory, so I would like to put on the Reds uniform as soon as possible, step onto the pitch at Saitama Stadium, and contribute to the team's victory."
