Naganuma: "We fought well. It gave us momentum for our five consecutive home games."

After the Meiji Yasuda J1 League 10th FC Machida Zelvia match on March 13, Yoichi Naganuma, who played the full match as a left back and kept the scoreless, looked back on Trial and talked about his determination for the five consecutive home matches starting from the next week.

(Looking back on Trial)
I think we got the first goal and got the extra point, and I think there is room for improvement in the way we fought in the second half with a 2-0 lead, but I think we all defended tenaciously and put up a good fight.

(Did you feel a positive response to your own play as well, such as in situations where you stripped opponents or stopped them defensively?)
(Did you feel that you were able to get a positive response to your own play as well, such as when you were able to strip opponents and stop them in defense?) "I thought I could have been more ego-driven in attack, but I want to increase scenes like that. But if we had defended a little better, I think we could have made it easier for the players in front of us.

(You didn't have the lead for long, but was it difficult in the second half?)
(Was it difficult in the second half?) "We hoped to have a little more time on our own, but we were able to control the game defensively, so I don't think it was too bad, especially with the 2-0 lead. In the second half, I think it would have been better if we had the ball more and controlled it more.

(Did you expect Machida to attack with long balls?)
(Did you expect Machida to attack with long balls?) "Actually, I thought they would kick more, but surprisingly they connected at the back, and when there was a big move from right to left, we were almost in trouble, but I knew from scouting that Machida's left side was strong, so I think we were able to concentrate and defend.

(On being able to finish the game without conceding a goal)
(On not conceding any goals) "I think it was a big factor. The opponent has set pieces and long throws as weapons, and we were beaten at set pieces in the previous game, so I think we were able to make progress in that area.

(How do you feel about today's victory?)
Kyoto Sanga F.C. I think it was a boost for the five straight home games, and I think these five straight games are very important. Pos is also a crowded field at the top, and I would like to win the first game of the five-game series to go even higher.
