Following the departure of Hiroki Sakai from the team to complete the procedures and preparations for his transfer to an overseas club, we are pleased to announce that Atsuki Ito has been selected as the team captain for the remainder of the 2024 Urawa Reds season.
We would also like to announce that Shusaku Nishikawa will serve as vice-captain, replacing Alexander Scholz, who has also left the team.

"When I was appointed captain, I thought about the club and my own growth and made the decision without any hesitation.

Since joining Urawa Reds as a professional, I have felt the responsibility of fighting with this emblem on my back every day. As captain, I will fight with more responsibility and determination than ever before.

Nobody is happy with the current Pos.
I would like to concentrate on each Trial in front of me and improve Pos one by one.
