Regarding the rule violation concerning the display of banners during the match against Fagiano Okayama on May 31st

On May 31, 2026 (Sunday), at the JFE Hare no Kuni Stadium, during the first leg of MEIJI YASUDA J1 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE Round against Fagiano Okayama, Urawa Reds supporters violated the rules regarding the display of banners. As a club, we sincerely apologize to Fagiano Okayama for failing to fulfill our responsibilities as a visiting club as stipulated in the J.League regulations.

Regarding the placement of banners in the visitor area, Fagiano Okayama, the home club, had previously announced a rule to lower a portion of the banner display area by approximately 50 cm compared to last year's match, with the aim of "ensuring the view of seated spectators."

Although this rule change had been confirmed between both clubs prior to Trial, on the day of Trial, our club was unable to strictly adhere to the rules that had been confirmed in advance, resulting in banners being displayed outside the designated display area. Furthermore, banners were displayed in multiple locations outside the designated display area where display is not permitted.

As a club, we will reaffirm our commitment to adhering to the rules and safety standards set by our home club, and will review our operational structure not only during matches against Fagiano Okayama but also for future away games, in order to prevent a recurrence of this incident.

Once again, I would like to sincerely apologize to Fagiano Okayama Fagiano Okayama their fans and supporters, and all those involved, as well as to all the fans and supporters who are following the rules and supporting Urawa Reds.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience.
