Kids Festa 2025 to be held at Reds Land

On the 5th, which was Children's Day, the Reds Land Kids Festa 2025 was held.

Based on the J.League's "100-Year Plan," Reds Land was opened in Sakura Ward, Saitama City in 2005 as a sports facility that works with the local community. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the facility, which aims to be a place where everyone can enjoy sports. The Reds Land Kids Festa was launched in 2022 with the aim of creating an event where local children can enjoy themselves to the fullest, and this is the fourth time it has been held. This time, approximately 1,400 parents and children applied, making it an annual family event on Children's Day.

In the morning session, the customary "Enjoy! Full Power Stamp Rally!!" was held. Making full use of the vast grounds of Reds Land, there were 13 attractions lined up, including balance ball dribbling, balloon art, cotton candy making, and riddles. At the closing ceremony of the morning session, a raffle was held for goods signed by Reds players, and the event was very lively until the very end.

Among the participants were not only families who always look forward to events at Reds Land, but also many who were attending a Reds event for the first time as a result of this event. According to the responses made at the time of application, about 60% of the participants were visiting Reds Land for the first time. As the organizer of this event, Reds Land wanted "those who are not yet Reds fans to experience the joy of sports and connecting with the community." The results of distributing flyers to elementary schools in the former Urawa City as an announcement that "we are not relying on the Reds' fan base" were reflected in the numbers.

When we actually talked to the participants, we were impressed by the diverse ways in which they were involved with the Reds and the local community, from a family that was completely devoted to the Reds and attended both the games against Tokyo Verdy on May 3rd and Gamba Osaka on May 6th, to parents who hadn't been to a Reds Trial since they won the J-League championship but would love to go again, to a child who lives near Misono and had never seen a Reds game before, but came for the first time after seeing a flyer at his elementary school.

In the afternoon session, which was open to all, the artificial turf area was opened so that children could exercise to their heart's content. In the Reds Land regular program "Zenryoku Daruma-san ga Koronda," children had fun going all out, aiming for the sweets at the goal.

The main characters of the day were the children, of course. However, this event was made possible by the efforts of many other people besides the children, their families, and Reds Land.

The event was organized by Reds Land, as in the previous year, the Urawa Reds Supporters Association, which always supports the event, and the Sakura Ward PTA Association, which is active in Sakura Ward, where Reds Land is located. This year, the Saitama City Board of Education also supported the event for the first time.
Additionally, we received sponsorship from 23 local companies who are listed as "Reds Land Nurturing Partners," and further cooperation included Urawa Rugby School, Saitama Prefecture Disabled Athletics Association, Drone Bliss Co., Ltd., Saitama T.Wings, and Koharubi, who are each directly involved in each attraction.

The support staff, mainly made up of these members, numbered about 120 people. Despite the large number of visitors, there were no injuries and the event ran smoothly from start to finish, which was a testament to the support of so many people.

While maintaining its original purpose of being "an event that children can enjoy to the fullest," this year's Reds Land Kids Festa was once again created in cooperation with the local community as a place to put into practice the "provision of a healthy recreational space" stated in the activity policy.
