On the 31st, after the first leg of MEIJI YASUDA J1 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE Round Fagiano Okayama, Danilo Boza, who scored the equalizing header, spoke about his reflections on Trial and his aspirations for the second leg.

(Looking back at the goal)
"Yusuke (Matsuo) and Shoya (Nakajima) had a great combination, and Shoya delivered a fantastic cross. I was able to head it in well and score a goal, so I think it was a very good experience."

(I imagine the opposing defender was taken by surprise by the header, achieved by stretching his upper body out from behind them.)
"I was waiting for the right timing for the cross, and I was planning to move when the cross came. I think I was able to jump for the ball at the right time and attack."

(I imagine it was difficult because Shoya Nakajima was the one carrying it?)
"The combination of Shoya and Yusuke forced the opponent's defensive line to drop back. Thanks to that, and of course Shoya's excellent passing, I was able to make a well-timed pass and score a goal."

(I don't think Boza would be in that position if the team wasn't playing with both fullbacks positioned high up the pitch.)
"Intuition is important. As a full-back, if your intuition is off when the ball is on the opposite side, it can be dangerous. That's because if you lose possession, you have to go back, and it's important to carefully observe the situation and decide at the right time whether to go forward or stay back when the ball is on the opposite side."

(It was a tough Trial where you conceded the first goal, and it was played in hot weather. What were your thoughts on the heat and the pressure?)
"Above all, it was an away game, and Okayama was a very difficult opponent. They had about three strong players in the center forward position, and I think there were many times when we were pushed back, but I think we managed to hold on well."

We conceded a goal and fell behind, but I think we did well to stay calm and fight hard, and I think that's because of the results of our training. Our training paid off, and although it wasn't a win, we managed a draw, and we'll be playing at home next week, so we'll work hard to get there."
