Shibato "I want to make up for the contributions I've been unable to make to the team up until now."
On the 27th, after the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 32 match against Tokyo Verdy, Kai Shibato reflected on the match and spoke about his enthusiasm for the next and subsequent Trial.
"I think that comes down to the result of not scoring in four Trial."
(You were in the starting lineup, but what did the coach want you to do?)
"I was required to have a good balance between offense and defense, and to manage risks in the midfield, especially when attacking. I was also required to be able to push forward."
What were you personally thinking about?
"I was conscious of risk management and balancing offense and defense."
(How do you feel after Trial?)
"There were times when we were able to push forward, and in the first half we managed the risks a little earlier and there were times when we could have taken the ball back the moment we lost it, but overall I don't think we played badly. However, we are thinking about what we can do as a team to score goals."
(With four Trial without a goal, what do you think is lacking that is preventing you from scoring?)
"There are a lot of factors, but the most important thing is the number of people in front of the goal, the location of the cross and the location of the person going inside, and the timing."
(I think Shibato 's style was also evident in his duels and ball recovery.)
"I don't want to lose when it comes to switching gears the moment the ball is stolen, or closing in on the opponent and stealing the ball. I haven't been able to contribute to the team until now, so I want to make up for it from here, and I want to continue to improve."

"I think we need to score points, and it's a sport where you can't win without scoring points, so I'd like to work a little harder on what we can do as a team to achieve that."
