Marius Hoibraten played in the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 31 match against Shimizu S-Pulse on the 23rd, achieving his Trial appearance in the J1 League.

Born and raised in Norway, Marius made his first team debut for Lillestrom at the age of 16, won the Eliteserien (Norwegian first division) twice in a row with FK Bodø/Glimt in 2020 and 2021, and joined Urawa Reds in 2023.

When he received an offer from the Reds, Marius felt that "this will be an opportunity to experience something different," and chose to play outside Norway for the first time at the age of 28. Many players struggle to adapt on and off the pitch when playing outside their home country, but Marius quickly adapted to the Japanese environment and the J.League, demonstrating his play as he said, "I want to help the team with my skills."

In his first year in 2023, he started in Trial Trial excluding the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 25 match against Shonan Bellmare on August 25th, when he was suspended due to accumulated warnings. Always strong and willing to throw himself at the plate in crucial situations, his soulful defense helped the Reds concede the fewest goals in the league, and he was named to the J.League Best XI in his first year with the club.

In 2024, he only missed two Trial, starting in 36 Trial and contributing to the team. In his third season Urawa Reds, he was selected as one of the captains, and he often Trial as game captain.

He has played full time in 31 league Trial so far this season, making this his Trial appearance in the 103rd J1 League Trial since joining the team. Marius' mental strength, which has allowed him to continue fighting even in a season with a tough series of matches, and his lack of injury are also his strengths, and these are one of the major factors that have earned him the trust of the coaching staff and teammates and allowed him to continue playing in Trial.
