On the 7th, after the second leg of the J.League YBC Levain Cup Prime Round quarter-final against Kawasaki, Isaac Kiese Thelin, who scored a goal in his debut match for Urawa Reds, reflected on Trial and spoke about his aspirations for the future.

"We were down 0-1, so I went onto the pitch to give the team some energy. And in the first play, a fantastic cross came in and we equalized, and from there it was a really tough Trial. Unfortunately, the result didn't follow."

(What were your feelings going into Trial debut match in Japan?)
"I'm very happy to be making my debut. When I stepped onto the pitch today, I played with a strong determination to give my best. It's disappointing that we couldn't get the win, but we just have to switch gears and move forward together to the next Trial."

(How did you feel when you scored the equalizing goal?)
"It would have been wonderful if the goal had led to a victory for the team, so it's very disappointing that we didn't get the win. However, of course, scoring a goal is very exciting, so we want to carry this momentum forward. We only have the league left, so we'll all focus on that and aim for good results in the league."

(Looking back at the goal scene?)
"When we went into the water break, the coach told me, 'Let's go.' And coincidentally, I received a message from Takuro (Kaneko) while we were warming up. I had heard him say, 'Just put in a simple cross,' and it felt like that was exactly what I was able to do, so I think it was fantastic. Of course, I knew the quality of his crosses from practice, and he delivered a very high-quality cross. I think our relationship will only get better from here on out. I'm looking forward to it."

(It was an away game, but what was the atmosphere like among the fans and supporters?)
"We could hear truly wonderful cheers throughout Trial. They created a fantastic atmosphere. I think it was amazing, even though it was an away game."

I'm very disappointed that we couldn't give our fans and supporters a victory, but I want to say thank you to everyone who came all the way here. Let's win together next time!
