Komori: "I want to win every title I can"

On the 6th, after the match Montedio Yamagata in the Round of 16 (4th round) of the Emperor's Cup JFA 105th All Japan Football Championship, Hiiro Komori, who scored the winning goal on her birthday, looked back on Trial and spoke about her enthusiasm for the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 25 match against Yokohama FC, which will be played with only two days' rest.

(What about the points?)
"I think it was really important that I was able to look forward."

(Was it a shot aimed at the target, or was it a powerful shot?)
"I aimed for the right spot. It may have hit the opponent and gone to a better spot, but I'm glad it went in."

(Have you ever had a birthday goal?)
"Probably not. I don't remember."

(How do you feel about playing in these pitch conditions?)
"There are a lot of different situations that come up when you're playing soccer, so I want to become good at these situations as well."

Was that something you were aware of when you entered?
"There were many puddles in the middle of the pitch, which made the conditions difficult, so we were conscious of pressing in a way that would force the opponents into making mistakes."

(How did you think you could create a decisive scene?)
"We had a lot of crosses today, so I thought that would create some great chances. I wanted to play with more crosses and put more pressure on the opponents."

(I don't think this is your first time playing in this stadium, were you aware of that?)
"It was a disappointing stadium because I had some bitter memories there, but I'm glad that I was able to win today with my own goal."

(In the goal scene, Jumpei Hayakawa ran through the side, but when you have a player who can make plays like that, doesn't that increase your options as a forward?)
"That was a really good move. I think that movement caused the opposing center back a lot of confusion."

(Last time you scored a goal as a starter, and today you scored as a substitute. Do you feel like you've shown that you can do well in any situation?)
"Even though I came on as a substitute, I felt that I had to play in a way that would give the team momentum. I think I was able to give the team momentum today by scoring a goal."

(You were disappointed in the final match of last year (when you were with JEF United Chiba), but did scoring a goal here help you get over it?)
"It's a different team and a different situation, but I don't think I'll ever forget the disappointment I felt back then."

(You need to win three more Trial to win the title, how do you feel about that?)
"I want to win all the titles I can, and although there are three Trial left, I hope to take each Trial one Trial a time and win them."

(There's a league Trial coming up in two days.)
"I'll make sure to recover well and prepare well again so that we can get three points and get into the fight for the championship."
