Trial-match comments
Maciej Skorza
(Head Coach)
- "We were unable to find our rhythm from the start of Trial. I think we were quite nervous early on. Perhaps the injury to our captain, (Sakai) Hiroki, had an impact. We were unable to speed up our build-up play, which made it easy for the opponents to predict. I think the most dangerous moment for the opponents in the first half was when (Koroki) Shinzo hit the post with his shot.
In the second half, we tried to speed up the game. However, FC Tokyo played very aggressive and well-organized defense, and we were unable to create any clear scoring opportunities. We ended up with two strikers, but we were unable to make good passes into the penalty area to take advantage of their power. It was a very disappointing result, and the locker room was silent. We wanted to play well today and bring three points to the nearly 50,000 fans and supporters who came to the game. I believe you all continued to support us throughout Trial.
I think the players did their best. They did a job worthy of respect, but I think they are feeling a bit tired after playing so many games in a row."
Opponent team comment
Peter Cklamovski
(Head Coach)
- "First of all, I think it was a hard game and an important win. We had to give it our all and get through the game. I'm pleased with the players' overall performance. The players were very dedicated and fought to play our own style strongly, and kept the score at zero defensively. When we had the ball, I think we were able to gradually do what we wanted as we built up experience. If we can continue to do that, I think we can be aggressive in Trial like this and take Trial three points."
