Trial-match comments
Maciej Skorza
(Head Coach)
- "It was a difficult Trial against a very difficult opponent. Our aim was to win and get the three points. By winning today, we can go to the ACL (AFC Champions League Final) with confidence and aim to get even closer to the top of the table.
I think it was good that we were able to play without getting impatient and keep the ball. I think we had a lot of time to control the game in the first half. In the second half, we sped up even more after entering the final third and aimed to use the space behind the opponent. However, we conceded a goal at the start of the second half due to a bad shape. After that, we were unable to get into the rhythm of the game and I think we wasted a few minutes. We were a little nervous and were unable to create any scoring opportunities.
Today, the players off the bench were a great help. That's something to be happy about. Even after Bryan Linssen 's important goal, we all played aggressively and continued to create scoring opportunities, but we only ended up scoring one point today.
I think the team spirit and mentality level was very high today. I'm pleased with that. It takes a lot of energy to try to change the flow or turn the game around. And I think the players showed that, so I want to praise them."
Opponent team comment
Toru Oniki
(Head Coach)
- “It was a game that we had to win with a packed house of supporters, and I honestly think we wanted to win.
In the game, we were able to show what we were aiming for, but in the sense of winning the game at the end, if we spilled the ball many times, it would lead to such a loss. I've been saying that for a long time, but I think we have to keep doing it. Anyway, today, I didn't win the game I should have won, so I think that's everything."
