Takumi Yasuda

Yasuda's motifs, spun from a series of finely raised threads, possess a freshness that makes them seem almost alive.
Yasuda, who is deaf, can concentrate so intensely on a needle that he loses track of time, and he perceives sound through vibrations.
I've completed various embroidery projects so far, including music concerts, animals, and landscapes, and every single one of them has been brimming with vitality.
That must be proof that they are not just seeing the motif as a mere image, but as a "living thing."
Watering the plants is part of her daily routine. Making tea for her junior colleagues at work and showing concern for her staff—it's this kindness of Ms. Yasuda's that breathes "life" into her artwork.

Work Introduction
Ms. Yasuda looks forward to watching every Urawa Reds Trial.
Even though I can't hear, the images of the players in action on the pitch are vividly etched in my memory.
This time, I expressed the emotions I felt while watching Trial as a single work of art.
I think you can feel the passion of the supporters, the excitement of the entire stadium, and the thrill of Trial from the artwork.

"Expressing oneself" is the very essence of human existence.
The title "LIVE TOGETHER!" reflects the hope that Saitama Stadium will be a place where everyone—from the players on the pitch to the fans and supporters cheering on the team in the stands, and the artists with disabilities pouring all their energy into their work—can express themselves and feel happiness together in the present moment.
