As of today, June 30th, Makoto Taguchi will be stepping down as Representative Director of Urawa Reds.

"As of today, I will be stepping down as Representative Director of Urawa Reds. First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the fans and supporters who have given me tremendous support and much encouragement at every Trial. I would also like to thank the people of our hometown, our partners, and the players and staff who have walked alongside me for the past three years and five months."
Since taking office, I have focused on managing the club based on three pillars: "a strong and attractive team," "stable club management in the medium to long term," and "an environment where club staff can grow."
As a representative of Urawa Reds, a club loved and supported by so many people, I have sincerely dedicated myself to bringing more joy and excitement to everyone. I still deeply regret that this club has only won the J1 League once in its more than 30-year history.
Going forward, I will be watching the club's future unfold. I sincerely hope that the club will realize its vision of being a "strong and attractive team," as envisioned in Urawa Reds philosophy, and continue to develop further.
