Heart-full Club Coach Mayu Sasaki visits elementary school
On the 18th, Heart-full Club coach Mayu Sasaki visited Saitama City Shibahara Elementary School in Midori Ward and gave a lesson to sixth grade students on the theme of "dreams" as the "Reds Teacher."
Based on Urawa Reds philosophy of "contributing to the healthy development of young people," the "Reds Sensei" program aims to help children in the Reds' hometown feel closer to the club and its players, as well as to instill dreams, hope, and courage in them through interactions with the children.
At the beginning of the lesson, he used a dream timeline to introduce his journey from childhood to becoming a soccer player. He also told the students about what motivated him to start his current job after retiring from active competition, and his new dreams for the future.

Sasaki explained that he felt that his dream of "making many people smile through soccer" overlapped with Heart-full Club 's philosophy of "being considerate," "working hard," and "having fun." He also explained that after commenting at the time of his retirement that "soccer is a sport of compassion," he was approached by Heart-full Club and chose his current path.

Furthermore, she said that a major reward in her current job is seeing the smiles on the children's faces gradually spread as she teaches them the importance of compassion through her lessons.

After talking about his dreams, he answered various questions from the children, and spent time interacting with them by demonstrating his juggling skills, exchanging passes, and playing rock-paper-scissors. By actually moving his body and interacting with the children, he quickly became closer to them, and the venue was filled with excitement.

Finally, Sasaki sent two important messages to the children.
The first message is that when you are in doubt or forced to make a choice, choose the option that excites you, and that how you grow from there is up to you, and that your daily actions will become the path that leads to your dreams.
The second lesson was to never forget to be grateful to the people who support you, as these connections will lead to wonderful new encounters.
The children responded enthusiastically, and at the end, each child was handed a clear file and the lesson came to an end.

The elementary school visits are conducted for the children of the hometown in accordance with the Urawa Reds philosophy of "contributing to the healthy development of young people as a member of society." By interacting with local children, the club and players can feel closer to them, and the activities are undertaken as a way to instill dreams, hope, and courage in the children.
