Plastic bag collection and workshop held at the match against Yokohama FC on Sunday, June 1st [Circular Economy Awareness Project]
Urawa Reds is working with Saitama Stadium 2002 and Saitama Prefecture to promote a "Circular Economy Awareness Project" that involves the collection and separation of waste generated at the stadium, its recycling, and raising awareness of the environment.
As part of this initiative, we will be exhibiting a Circular Economy Booth at the match against Yokohama FC on Sunday, June 1st [MATCH PARTNER: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries]. The booth will call for people to collect Urawa Reds' plastic bags to be recycled, and will also host workshops where people can learn about the environment in a fun way.
The collected plastic bags will be recycled into raw materials and reused in new products, aiming to reduce disposable plastics and promote resource circulation. In addition, the workshop aims to encourage children to think about waste separation and recycling by reusing PET bottle caps.
We look forward to your participation!!
Details of the project
(1) Urawa Reds' plastic bag collection and recycling campaign!
The plastic bags issued by Urawa Reds (distributed at the stadium, official shop shoppers, REX CLUB carrier bags, etc.) will be reused as much as possible, and used bags will be collected and recycled at the circular economy booth. This is an initiative that aims to realize resource circulation (circular economy).
On the day, those who bring at least one bag will receive one "Urawa Reds original paper bag" per person. In addition, for every three bags, you can enter a lottery to win autographed goods and other prizes.
Time 12:00-16:00
Location South Square

※You can only receive one "Urawa Reds original paper bag" per person, regardless of the number of plastic bags you bring, and you can only enter the lottery up to three times per person. Please note that the offer will end once the paper bags and lottery prizes have run out.
*This initiative is an original quest for Urawa Reds in the J.League 60 club competition "Sustena Cup". Post a picture of a plastic bag or paper bag in the app to get a bonus act!
(2) Workshop for making goods using plastic bottle caps
This is an experiential workshop where you can create a one-of-a-kind top in Urawa Reds colors (red, white, and black) using recycled plastic bottle caps collected at Saitama Stadium.
Time 12:00-16:00
Location South Square
Target: Junior high school students and younger
Participation fee: Free
*This event will end as soon as materials run out.

(3) Exhibition on Circular Economy

In addition, there will also be a booth promoting app registration for "SustaCup 2025" in the same area.
Those who download the app and select Urawa Reds as their "supporting community" will receive an "original reusable cup" to enjoy drinks at a discount at the stadium!
