It was in 2004 that Nike Japan, a sports brand known to all soccer and sports fans, became a partner of the Urawa Reds.
I want to contribute to the development of Japanese football, including the J-League. I want to increase the name recognition and popularity of Nike football in Japan. For that reason, Urawa Reds was mentioned as "a team that leads Japanese soccer", and it is said that he "craved" support.

Sixteen years have passed since then. In 2003, the year before he became a partner with Nike Japan, he won the J League Yamazaki Nabisco Cup (now the J League YBC Levain Cup) and won his first title. He won the stage and won the Emperor's Cup in 2005 and 2006. In 2006, they won the J.League annual championship for the first time, and in 2007, they won the AFC Champions League and stood at the top of Asia.

And along with Urawa Reds' success, Nike Football was able to greatly increase its recognition and popularity, with "supporting Urawa Reds has dramatically increased the awareness and popularity of Nike Football."

Nike Japan said, "The atmosphere in the stadium created by the enthusiastic fans and supporters of Urawa Reds is very special." It seems that Urawa Reds, along with the presence of enthusiastic fans and supporters, have contributed greatly to the development of Nike Football.

Nike Japan and Urawa Reds have worked hand in hand and continued to grow together over the past 16 years.

As partners, Nike Japan and Urawa Reds have worked together on various initiatives, including events and booths at various venues, and community decorations in the city of Urawa, to enliven the entire city.

In 2019, Urawa Reds also supported Nike's new initiative, "Phantom Camp," which focuses on female high school football players. Female high school players selected by Nike Japan, "Phantom Players," participated in the Urawa Reds Ladies' Okinawa camp.

Through these activities, Nike Japan feels it is contributing to the development of soccer in Japan and helping to create excitement and roots throughout the city of Urawa.

The uniform design reflects the idea that "one of the biggest clubs in the J.League, having been crowned Asian champions twice, and that the club has the most enthusiastic fans and supporters in Japan who continue to inspire and support the club. While firmly adhering to the club's unwavering traditions, the uniform will incorporate the latest innovations from Nike Japan every year."

The 2020 first uniform features precise, geometric graphics that express the brilliance and beauty of diamonds. The diamonds are dynamic and oriented at various angles to represent speed. The diamond camouflage, which uses a high level of design innovation, expresses the origin of Club "Red Diamonds."

The second uniform also features a white/red/white color combination, a first for the club. The design is inspired by the Japanese flag and reflects the club's philosophy of "From Urawa to the World" and the realization of happiness and peace.

Nike Japan hopes to contribute to the team's victory by helping players' performance through various products, not just uniforms. And just like the fans and supporters, he hopes, "I want you to return to the J. League and the world champions."

Nike Japan and Urawa Reds will continue to fight together and aim for victory. And he will lead the development of the Japanese football world and liven up the city of Urawa.
