Trial-match comments
Ricardo Rodriguez
(Head Coach)
- "I think we had a bit of a struggle at the start of Trial. We lost the ball easily quite a few times. However, after that, around the water break, we made some adjustments and I think we started to calm down a bit.
Regarding the second half, we made some adjustments at halftime and were able to keep control of the ball better. I think it's very important to score first in situations like this. Abe also scored a great shot.
Although the opponent had a few shots at the beginning, I think it was good that we were able to finish Trial with a clean sheet and no goals conceded. Of course, we will always look at areas that need improvement and think about what we can do. After our last loss to Avispa Fukuoka, it is important that we were able to secure three points at home like this. We would like to continue accumulating three points and move up Pos."
Opponent team comment
Makoto Teguramori
(Head Coach)
- “At the beginning of the game, I think we were able to take the initiative. In the second half, we were trying to demonstrate our potential in the empty vital area, but we were not able to create chances when the last pass was off or off. I think Urawa did the breakout that we wanted to do.When we thought it was dangerous, Urawa broke down the center of gravity with a short pass.It was exactly what we wanted to do. It's gone.
Even though we were in a position to chase behind, we were just about to make it 0-2 with Abe's free kick. Looking back, we weren't able to score a single goal, and Sendai weren't able to win again at Saitama (stadium), which is the dark side of the game. So, I felt that the way of carrying back and forth and the ability to respond to attacks are showing a little increase. I would like to keep fighting like we did today, and keep working hard so that we can score goals with precision when we are close to winning.
With the away games continuing, the next one will be away, so I can't help but feel frustrated. Also, I think we have to prepare for the next time.”
