Trial-match comments

Volker Finke

(Head Coach)

"In the first half, I think we at Urawa Reds played a much better Trial. In the second half, we saw a very intensive game between both teams. We were able to see such a high-level Trial, and I am very much looking forward to the next Trial, the second leg.
Of course, I was angry about conceding a goal early in the second half, but overall I think we were able to see a very interesting and high-quality Trial. And in fact, S-Pulse proved that they are a good team by playing today. In fact, they earned a solid point in the previous Trial in Osaka.
However, I think we were able to create many more scoring chances throughout Trial, and I think we could have won by scoring one more point. With the situation as it is now, I'm really looking forward to the second leg.

Opponent team comment

Kenta Hasegawa

(Head Coach)

"Although we lost Trial, we managed to at least score one away goal, so we would like to prepare thoroughly so that we can win our next home game and advance to the semi-finals.
At the start of the first half, the pitch was used widely, Haraguchi was beaten several times, and one penalty was awarded. I thought that the Reds had done a lot of scouting and fought well.
So we switched back to double defensive midfielders midway through the game and tried to extend our attacks a little more in the second half, and we were able to score at a good time, but Edmilson followed up on Tulio's shot and conceded a second goal, and we were hoping to score another with our final chance...
As I said earlier, we were able to get the bare minimum result of scoring one away goal, and we want to carry that momentum into the next Trial."
