Trial-match comments
Mihailo Petrovic
(Head Coach)
- “I think it was a tough game for both teams today, but I feel like we were the better team in terms of fatigue.Under those circumstances, conceding a goal like that made the situation even more difficult. Until the 60th minute, we didn't really get into any good form. A loss is the worst result, but on the other hand, it showed us what kind of team we are. I think.
After all, our soccer would not be possible without running. He carries the ball from behind, and from there he makes vertical passes. I couldn't bring out that part easily. I think it was due to the amount of exercise.
The first goal, we conceded in that manner, and then we were hit from the middle, and we conceded the third goal right in the second half, which made the game difficult for us. After that, we started to create some good offense, but I think it was too late once we were down 3-0.
It hurts a lot to lose in a head-to-head match, but one thing I can say is that this series of matches was extremely tough. This means that some players are unable to complete their runs. I personally don't see this defeat as a negative thing. On the contrary, we can learn a lot from this defeat. Our strength lies in working as a team, and today I was able to confirm that once again.
We have a match against Niigata in the second day of middle school, and if we can win there, I think it will mean that we were able to learn a lot from this loss."
Opponent team comment
Yasuhiro Higuchi
(Head Coach)
- "We were able to finish Trial with a 3-0 result and the satisfaction of having played a very good game. Going into today's match, given that we had lost to Kashima last time, Trial was going to be a very important one, and it goes without saying that the players took to the pitch with that in mind.
Our game plan was to eliminate Urawa's unique style, and we all agreed that the most important thing was not to react. In other words, instead of making any changes to suit the opponent's style, we went into the game with a plan to eliminate Urawa's style with our own style and surpass the opponent. And the players didn't back down brilliantly, and executed our plan of going for the ball, stealing it, holding the ball, and moving it around, so it's a very pleasing game. Despite it being a weekday, I'm happy that we were able to play a good game in front of over 30,000 supporters and get three points. There's only two days left, so we'll stop celebrating at this press conference and move on to the next game against Omiya."
