- "We started Trial very well. In the first half, I think we were able to attack in a balanced way, using the space on the sides and in the middle. If we used the middle, the sides opened up, and if we used the sides, the middle opened up, so I think that gave the opponents a lot of trouble. We were able to set up our attacks very calmly, and use the space on the sides and behind the defense when the opponents were drawn forward, so I think we were able to take the lead in good form in the first half.
During halftime, I told the players that since the opponent was trailing, they would likely come out more aggressively. I told them to play solid defense and exploit the space behind the opponent when they pushed forward.
In the second half, we had some good defensive plays that led to counterattacks, but we need to improve on our final passes and timing.
Also, in Japan there is a tendency to try to win by defending a lead, but I think we need to improve in the future by aggressively aiming for goals when there is a chance."
