Trial-match comments

Mihailo Petrovic

(Head Coach)

"As we expected, today's game was extremely tough. Niigata needed points to stay in the league, and we needed points to win the annual title. It was a game in which the ambitions of both teams collided. What made it even more difficult was that Niigata was a strong team. I don't think Niigata's current Pos reflects the quality of their team. Having played against them, I realized once again that Niigata was indeed a fantastic, strong team. That's why it was such a difficult game for us.

Both teams played very well today. They never gave up until the end and fought to win. It was a great game.

The Reds have been playing official matches since February, and have Trial almost nonstop up to this point. The players played 120 minutes in the Levain Cup final, so they were very tired when they Trial. In comparison, Niigata had a three-week break, and they had a good rest, held a training camp, and prepared well. It was very tough for us to play against such an opponent. However, the players fought with a strong desire to win. That desire led to today's victory. As the manager, I would like to praise their fighting spirit."

Opponent team comment

Koichiro Katafuchi

(Head Coach)

``I feel very responsible for not being able to get a winning point despite the warm support and warm support from so many supporters. However, the players showed what they had. In the game, of course we conceded a goal first, but we were able to equalize the score in the first half, and we played well during periods when the opponent was struggling and when we dominated the ball. Things didn't turn out the way I expected, but since they are the winning team of the Levain Cup and are currently in the lead, they were able to hold down their points and could have easily won the points. It was a game that I wasn’t allowed to take.”
