Trial-match comments

Mihailo Petrovic

(Head Coach)

"I think today was a very important game for both teams. In particular, for us as the Reds, it was a very important battle when we think about the points we need in the annual Pos. If we had lost today's Trial, the gap in points for the year would have widened, and it would have been difficult for us to overtake them in future matches.

For Kashima, today's win was important because it would give them a six-point lead over the Reds in terms of points for the season. With a six-point lead, they can play more calmly in future games.

It was an important game for both teams, but in terms of content, I think it was an intense Trial with the intentions of both teams clashing.

From the start of the first half, Kashima played very aggressively, and we had a hard time finding our rhythm. Even when we had the ball, we kept losing it relatively early on, and the other team took control and pushed the game forward. However, although they took the lead, I don't think they allowed them to create any decisive moments, and on the other hand, we also had a hard time creating any scoring opportunities.

In the second half, Kashima played aggressively, but we were able to keep the ball more than in the first half. However, I think it was when Moriwaki lost the ball that we conceded a goal. After we were down 0-1, we were able to put more effort into our attacks and tie the game, then turn it around.

Regarding today's game, we had substitutes Lee Tadanari, Aoki Takuya, and Ishihara. I think those substitutions worked well, and they did a good job as substitutes.

We were trailing 0-1 but managed to score two goals and win Trial, but looking at the game as a whole, I think a draw was the right Trial."

Opponent team comment

Masatada Ishii

(Head Coach)

"Today, we had a really large audience of over 30,000 people, and I think we played very well in the first half, but in the second half we became a little unstable in our defense, and that continued throughout the second half, which I think was the reason we lost. With so many people in attendance, I wanted to put on a good Trial and win, but I'm very disappointed that we couldn't."
