Trial-match comments
Mihailo Petrovic
(Head Coach)
- "We had a very tight schedule, playing Trial Trial two weeks, at the end of a series of Trial. It was a very tough game, but I think we played well enough to deserve the win."
Opponent team comment
Nelsinho
(Head Coach)
- "We started the first half according to plan, and were able to counter with well-organized defence. However, halfway through, perhaps because the players continued to execute that plan, they began to lose confidence or become anxious, and they began to act and play differently from the plan, which caused a gap and caused anxiety throughout the team. Our opponents were an experienced team, so they noticed this and allowed them to score. Overall, it was a very poor first half.
At halftime, we made sure to press them to continue the preparations they had made for this Trial and to stick to the game plan, and we went into the second half determined to win.
In the second half, once each player started to carry out their role according to the plan, Trial changed from the first half and we were able to play the way we intended and aimed for. I say this with all due respect to our opponent, Urawa, but if we had been brave enough to carry out our game plan from the first half, I think Trial would have been a different story.
