- "Ugajin didn't go into much detail about the goal, but those kinds of goals happen often in practice. We don't practice corner kicks much, but we do practice those kinds of goals a lot, and I think that was one of the goals that came from that (laughs). I think Ugajin made it look like he was going to cross, but then took a well-aimed shot.
Today was a very exciting game. I was also getting hot watching this exciting game, but I had to wear a jacket because my white shirt was the same as the opposing team's.
As Ugajin said earlier, I think the players came into this Trial with a very strong will and high motivation. It has been said in the media and the public that Japanese players are weaker than Korean players in terms of physical strength and in close-quarters play. I think the players fought hard for the ball, wanting to dispel what everyone thinks, and they ran very well in terms of their energy.
I think we were relatively in control of the game for the remaining 75 minutes. We won 1-0, but looking at the content, we should have scored Trial second and third goals to decide Trial. Although we won 1-0, we only played the first half.
The second leg Trial in Seoul is in a week. It will be a very tough Trial, but we want to show the same fighting spirit in Seoul as we did today."
