Trial-match comments
Mihailo Petrovic
(Head Coach)
- "I am very happy to be able to hold this press conference with Muto today. Rather than me making any comments, I hope you will all take an interest in Muto and ask him lots of questions (laughs).
First of all, this was our first official match of the year, and our opponent was a team that had already played in the season. Such matches are very difficult. In addition, we have not had good results in the ACL so far. In that sense, there is no doubt that today's first match was a very difficult Trial for us.
The first game of the season is difficult for any team. However, the players showed a strong desire to win, their energy on both offense and defense, and their strength around the ball in the first Trial of the season, and I am pleased with their performance.
In terms of content, there is no doubt that we can play a better game and break down the defense with more combinations and coordination. However, I personally think that winning the first game of the season is a very positive thing. In the past two ACLs, we started with a loss in the first game. In that sense, I think that winning today's first game will give us confidence. I believe that this confidence and positive result will create a positive cycle.
I believe that this positive result will have a positive impact not only on the ACL, but also on the first J-League match two days later. In that sense, I think it is very meaningful that we were able to finish today's Trial with a victory."
Opponent team comment
graham arnold
(Head Coach)
- “It was a disappointing result. First of all, we gave Urawa Reds 3 points and then 2 points. We gave up two goals because we made two big defensive mistakes.”
