Maciej Skorza (Head Coach): "We didn't start well Trial. We had possession and Wuhan was attacking on the counter, and we conceded a goal early on. As this continued, we decided to substitute Takuya Iwanami at halftime. This was partly because he had already been carded, but also because we wanted to defend our goal more firmly.

We started the second half well and managed to score an equaliser. After that, we conceded a penalty due to a mistake in the build-up, but I think the players worked hard even after that. One of the Reds' characteristics is that they maintain high motivation and keep fighting until the end, and I think we were able to show that again today. Then Jose Kante scored a goal, and we were able to get one point. You could say we only got one point, but I think it was good that we were able to get this result in this difficult stadium and with the difficult flow of the first half.

Opponent team comment

Tsutomu Takahata (Head Coach): "We are representing Wuhan and China, and are the first team from the Three Wuhan Towns to take to the Trial in the ACL (AFC Champions League). The players were really highly motivated and I think it was great that we got off to a good start by scoring a goal early on.

In the midst of all this, the supporters really gave us a great boost and we were able to Trial in a really good atmosphere. Thanks to that, even after we were tied in the second half, we were able to take the lead again and keep Trial at 2-1.

While we were leading, Urawa was strong and kept possession of the ball, but with the support of our fans, we held on well. However, we conceded a goal in added time, and it ended in a disappointing draw. However, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the players for their hard work and the fans who supported them. Since we were at home, we shouldn't be satisfied with just one point, so it ended in a disappointing draw, but I think the players put in a really good performance as we start the ACL.

Urawa is a really strong team, and they were the ACL champions last season. We'll take one point as a positive and switch our mindset. We have a league match against Tianjin Tigers in two days, and an away match against Pohang Steelers in the ACL, so we'll work together as a team to take on those matches."
