Maciej Skorza (Head Coach): We pressed hard at the beginning, which was not bad. But after 10 minutes, we began to suffer physically and let the other team take the lead. We conceded two goals, but they came in very painful ways, and there were mistakes that could have been avoided. After that, we tried to keep the ball longer. At the end of the first half, we had some pretty good shape and Jose Kante goals were scored.

We were struggling physically in the first half, so at halftime we made two substitutions and brought in fresh players. In the second half, I think we had a good start, and Brian (Linssen) had a chance there, and (Alexander) Scholz scored on a penalty kick to catch up with us.

The third goal was a goal that came in off the foot of (Koizumi) Kaho. After that, Shinzo (Koroki) came in as the second striker and went offensively, and I think he was a very key player, as was Shusaku (Nishikawa), who stopped a penalty kick. I think we had chances from set pieces, but unfortunately, an FK at the end of the game ended our hopes.

It was a very disappointing result. I think I myself made a lot of mistakes Trial. I think I made some mistakes in reading the fatigue of the players. With one less day of preparation than our opponents, I thought they could recover well even with two days in the middle of the day, but that was not the case. It was a difficult Trial, but I think the players showed great temperament Trial by fighting and scoring two goals without giving up. I would like to pay tribute to them.

It is a sad way to say goodbye. But sometimes life can be cruel like this. I wish Urawa Reds the best of luck next season. And I hope the experience of this tournament will live on in the Club World Cup a year and a half from now."
